Teaching & Learning
Quality education
麻豆社区 delivers quality education and a range of programs to its students. Currently 麻豆社区 provides spiritual programs, co-curricular activities and English as an Additional Language or Dialect classes, in addition to the six Key Learning Areas.
Faith
Christian Studies at St Hurmizd Primary School is at the heart of teaching and learning.
The program is based on the faith, traditions, teachings and doctrines of the Assyrian Church of the East. Through living and teaching our Christian faith, we aim to pass on to the students an understanding and love of Jesus Christ, as well as a respect for themselves and others as people of God.
Curriculum
Our School focuses on the individual student to ensure that every student is educated to their full potential at every stage of their learning journey.
The School model involves the core subjects of Literacy (English), Numeracy (Mathematics), Science and Technology, and History and Geography (HSIE). These are differentiated and integrated to cater for the needs of each student by modifying the pace, level and content of teaching, learning and assessment activities.
Co-Curricular
St Hurmizd aims to provide each student an opportunity to discover their unique talents beyond the classroom by providing co-curricular activities.
These include:
- Public Speaking
- Coding
- Swimming
- School Band
EALD
麻豆社区 offers targeted English as an Additional Language or Dialect (EAL/D) programs for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.
The programs are designed for those who need additional assistance in development and consolidation of their English reading, writing, listening and speaking skills.
Gifted & Talented
Our Gifted & Talented Program is designed to identify, support and extend high potential learners within a challenging, creative and nurturing environment.
Learning Support
We are committed to creating a personalised learning environment for every student at 麻豆社区.
