About the CEO
Mr Aaron Boyd
Mr Aaron Boyd is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Assyrian Christian Schools and has over 30 years of educational and professional experience.
Mr Boyd works closely with The Assyrian Christian Schools Board and oversees the leadership of both St Narsai Assyrian Christian College and 麻豆社区 and Early Learning Centre.
Mr Boyd is an experienced educationalist with a clear commitment to quality student outcomes. This has been achieved through the pursuit of academic excellence, strong leadership and a service mindset within the community.
Mr Boyd has worked in both Independent and Government Schools. He was the CEO/Executive Principal at Unity Grammar, where he led the K-12 school through significant change and improvement in academic results, wellbeing, infrastructure and community engagement.
Mr Boyd was Chief Operating Officer, Head of Extracurricular Programs and Operations, and Dean of Studies at SCECGS Redlands, where he oversaw academic programs, considerable enhancement in the School鈥檚 academic programs, extracurricular programs, and the development of the School鈥檚 $60million Master Plan building program.
Prior to Redlands, Mr Boyd held the roles of Director of Administration and Head of Department at Abbotsleigh, and Curriculum Consultant with the Department of Education, where he was responsible for 30 Secondary Schools and 70 Junior Schools across the Fairfield and Bankstown Districts.
Mr Boyd worked at St Johns Park High School, where he led the PDHPE Department, Sport, and timetabling, and taught many members of our Assyrian community, including existing clergy, staff and parents.
Mr Boyd was an HSC Supervisor of Marking, Senior Marker and Judge for over 21 Years, where he was responsible for the state-wide HSC Marking process in PDHPE, for over 15,000 students in NSW.
Mr Boyd is a published author of a range of student textbooks and teaching resources with McGraw-Hill, Titan and Nelson-Cengage publishing companies. He was also a recipient of the NSW Premier and Australian College of Educators Award for Quality Teaching.
Mr Boyd is currently a Workforce Skills Policy Committee member for Business NSW, where he assists the NSW Business Chamber by providing expert advice to Government and various stakeholders on issues regarding education in NSW. Mr Boyd has also been an Advisory Board Member for a Not-for-Profit Foundation, where he provided educational and technical advice, developed fundraising initiatives and served as a public advocate for the organisation.
Mr Boyd has completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Wollongong, a Master of Education (MEd) at the University of Sydney, a Bachelor of Education (BEd) with the Australian College of Physical Education and is also a Justice of the Peace. He currently resides in Sydney with his wife, Melissa, and his two children, Sarah and Bradley.
